For novel crosses or producing seed, forestry and tree breeding is almost always done outside. Pollination bags must not only keep out unwanted pollen, but also be tough enough to withstand whatever the weather throws at it. Extensive collaborative trials with both Embrapa and the NCSU Co-operative Tree Improvement programme* has shown that PBS International pollination bags take this further with remarkable improvements compared to paper and plastic bags in flower survival and cone/seed yield.

duraweb® Florestal, the unique material that is designed specifically for tree breeding programs and mass seed production, is strong enough to resist tearing or damage and provides a micro-climate that is as natural as possible.
