New Distributor prompts Earthquake relief for Ecuador

In March 2016 a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador, a disaster which took at least 650 lives and did enormous damage to the country’s infrastructure.

As we do business in Ecuador we wanted to help in any way we could.  While in Quito in March, we met with Hernan Burbano and Raoul Llanos, the team running our distributor there Ferticultiva.  Relieved to hear they were OK, we also learnt about the efforts they were making to help their fellow countrymen.

As a result of Ferticultiva’s efforts, and to support a country we trade with in a time of need, the team at PBS International set about collecting donations of clothes & other essentials .  Fund raising also included our Director, Hannah Senior, running her first 10km race to get sponsorship!

As a result we shipped two full pallet boxes weighing over 350kg stuffed full of nappies, dried food, clothes and other basics.  We’re pleased to do our bit to help!
